THE house that Jack built is for sale. John Farnham’s Flinders home is on the market with an asking price of more than $6 million. Real estate agent Kay & Burton is selling 3 Spindrift Ave, describing the stunning property as having rare beach frontage. Agents wouldn’t say who owned it, but one admitted he “couldn’t confirm it wasn’t Mr Farnham’s house”. The house with four large bedrooms has spectacular views of Western Port, Phillip Island, Flinders Pier and West Head, complete with an outdoor balcony spa and home theatre room. But locals seem to think its position has also played a role in Farnham’s decision to sell. “He thought he was building a little house at the end of a dirt road in the country and then found it out it was the major carpark for surfers,” one said. “When the surf’s up, there are bodies everywhere and it’s been jam-packed recently.” Another told the Leader the home was rarely used. “John hasn’t been down for months.” [...]
