POWERCOR is offloading a former State Electricity Commission major stores facility, 10 kilometres west of town. The 20 hectare block at the north-west corner of Geelong and McDonald roads in Brooklyn (pictured, right) is expected to sell for about $20 million as an investment with redevelopment potential. Offered for the first time in 54 years, the Industrial 1 zoned land formed part of a larger block which once had frontage to Bunting Road nearby. In recent years the property at 594 – 598 Geelong Road has also been occupied by auction house Jupps Motor Group.
