UP to 20,000 people will call the Cranbourne area home, after planning Minister Justin Madden paved the way for new suburbs in Melbourne’s outer south-east. A masterplan was released this month, which will see three schools and two kindergartens added to an area spread over 589 hectares. Subdivision and permits have been approved for the first 3000 homes, and a new train station is expected to be added in 2013.
